11 Nov Digital Leaders learn Python at Urswick School
Queensbridge Primary Scho0l Digital Leaders had a fantastic lesson today at Urswick School learning to code with Python. The Y5 and 6 children were really excited to be having the lesson in a secondary school. The lesson was led by the head of Computing Mr Sahbaz and the children really enjoyed the challenge of learning a new programming language.
The lesson was the first in a series of pilot lessons especially tailored to bridge the gap between the Primary and Secondary Curricula for Computing. So far our children have been programming with Scratch and Python is widely recognised as being the next stage along.
Urswick school are our secondary partners within Future Stars TSA (our Teaching School Alliance) and we look forward to taking part in many new joint projects in the future.
