Digital Leaders are ambassadors of technology at Queensbridge Primary School.

We appoint new digital leaders every year in September, although those who have shown exceptional aptitude for the role might be asked to stay on to mentor the new cohort for a further term.

All prospective digital leaders apply in writing, stating their reasons for wishing

to become IT advocates for the school; they are then are interviewed by Governors and members of

the Senior Leadership Team.

We look for self-motivated children with a strong interest in tech who will help us to keep growing and improving our Computing Curriculum by researching and reviewing new apps and software

and supporting other children and adults in the school to develop their skills.

Examples of projects that our current digital leaders have worked on include:

  • Collaborating with a parent (software developer) to try out our new BBC Microbits

  • Learning to code with Python in collaboration with Urswick Secondary School

  • Building and Programming our newly acquired NXT Lego Robots

  • Working in collaboration with our friends at Technology Will Save Us to test out and review new prototypes

  • Creating and contributing to a Digital Leader’s blog
