Home Learning

At Queensbridge we believe home learning consolidates and reinforces skills and understanding.

At Queensbridge we believe home learning consolidates and reinforces skills and understanding in numeracy, literacy and other curriculum areas, and provides opportunities for parents/carers and children to work together. Please see the updated grids for our new curriculum 2019-2020 on your child’s class page on  our App.

Queensbridge has decided to change the way homework is given out in order for parents to have a better overview and to save on needless paper. The organisation of our homework is also meant to give children organisational skills and choices so they can engage with their learning.

A home learning grid will be given out each half term for Y1-Y6. This will be the homework for the half term. Please consult your child’s class page on the Queensbridge App to find their up to date homework grid.

The children will be able to select the English (literacy)/ Maths (Numeracy)/ Science or topic work that they would do that week. There will also be spellings, times tables and suggested daily maths activities. If the learning needs to be recorded this would be done in the homework book.

At Queensbridge we follow the National Curriculum. Here are some websites that you may find useful for supporting your children at home:
